Be sure to add Monte Smith Hill to your itinerary for discovering why this is such a popular site, within 7 km from our hotel.
The hill upon which the Acropolis of Rhodes sits deserves a short climb to take in the panoramic views and the wonders that live on this archaeological site. A particular highlight being the Temple of Pythian Apollo. The hill itself takes its name from the British admiral, Sir William Sidney Smith who used the spot as his observation post to keep watch for Napoleon’s fleet. These days there are no threats on the horizon. Just spectacular views, and breathtaking sunsets.
